About

Captn Tup

Watch Captain Tup is on duty and he has been Sailing and messing about, with, in & on boats since 1965. Guess what? He loves boats. He still gets Hyped up & excited when he wakes in the morning knowing he is going to play on a boat. It doesn’t seem to matter if he is actually going out on the water on a magnificent day or having to work at scrubbing and scraping and maintaining a boat.

Watch Captain Tup received this handle because Captain Tup is known to be a bit obsessive about keeping the ships log up to date even on a cruisy calm water holiday. Captain Tup & Captains Log are inherited titles from our children, it came about that every time I sat down to do the log the comments from the peanut galley were “Stardate Captains Log” it was very amusing at the time with the references to Star Trek & Captain Kirk.

Watch out for our posts and if I am out of line or too far off topic I would appreciate being pulled up and corrected. This brings me to our purpose and that is ” to accommodate all aspects of leisure boating creating a means for many thousands of people to get the same enjoyment as I do by getting out there and enjoying the wonders of being on the water.” I think it is the most sensational way to enjoy yourself not only by doing it and being out there but also by meeting all the different people who share this amazing urge.

Watching or rather being absorbed in, the sunsets & sunrises, being permitted to share the environment of wind and water with the vast array of bird & marine life, experiencing the what seems to us as the unharnessed power of mother nature I find to be beyond describable words. The feelings and emotions derived from these experiences are what counts even though I have difficulty verbally sharing this I still hope to instill some of these wonders into others so they too can feel those feelings.

Watch this space in the future for further developments as I consider this to be a work in progress the same as I consider myself to be…
